Dr. Gillian Soles

Biography

Dr. Gillian L.S. Soles is an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UC Davis Health System, specializing in Trauma - Hip & Pelvic Reconstruction. She is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, fellowship trained in orthopedic trauma and hip pelvic reconstruction using the direct anterior approach for total hip arthroplasty. Her clinical interests focus on complex injuries of the pelvic ring and acetabulum, managing polytraumatized patients, and addressing long bone and periarticular fractures, as well as primary and revision hip arthroplasties. Dr. Soles is deeply invested in providing high-quality patient-centered care, actively involving patients in their treatment and recovery processes. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, with research interests in clinical outcomes of trauma surgery, particularly in femoral neck fractures and total hip arthroplasties. Dr. Soles is also involved in orthopedic education at a national level, contributing to residency education through AO Trauma North America.
