Biography

Giorgia Dalla Libera Marchiori is a health scientist and systems thinker with a passion for transdisciplinary research that addresses the roots of current polycrisis challenges. With a Master’s degree in Biomedicine from Karolinska Institutet and another Master's in Sustainable Management from Uppsala University, Giorgia has a rich background in health and environmental policy. Since July 2023, she has been part of Professor Sharon Friel's Planetary Health Equity Hothouse, actively mentoring PhD students. Giorgia’s research delves into how health philanthropic organizations influence funding for specific types of research, particularly with respect to promoting equity in planetary health.
