Biography

Giorgio Talocci is a design researcher, community architect, and educator holding a PhD in Development Planning from University College London. Since December 2012, he has been involved with the Bartlett Development Planning Unit, where he currently serves as the Director of Short Courses and coordinates the DPU summerLab programme. His work includes overseeing several research projects, teaching MSc programmes such as Building Urban Design Development and Development Administration Planning, and leading the department-wide Development Workshop II. Talocci has extensive training in architecture and has worked in various schools of architecture across the UK. His rich experience in participatory design research spans multiple countries, including Somaliland, Brazil, Cambodia, China, Colombia, Italy, Myanmar, the Philippines, and Turkey, significantly influencing his approach to pedagogy and research. He has held positions at prestigious institutions such as the Architectural Association School of Architecture and Cardiff University, among others.
