Biography

Giorgio Treglia graduated with honors in Medicine from the Università Cattolica in Rome in 2003 and completed a postgraduate specialization in Nuclear Medicine in 2007. He has also attended advanced courses on systematic reviews and meta-analysis. In 2011, he achieved a master's degree in Health Technology Assessment Management. His career includes roles as a consultant in Italy and a nuclear physician at Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale (EOC). He holds the position of Senior Consultant and was appointed as the head of the research innovation service in the academic education and research innovation area in 2017. Treglia is an Associate Physician at the University Hospital Lausanne (CHUV) and became a Private Docent at the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne in 2018. He has received prestigious awards, including the Young Investigator Meeting Award from the European Association of Nuclear Medicine and the Grand Prize in the Image Competition from the American College of Rheumatology. His primary research interests include evidence-based imaging, positron emission tomography (PET), hybrid imaging, and diagnostic test accuracy. He has authored over 400 full-text articles in international journals and contributed book chapters in his field.
