Biography

Prior to Dr. Papadimitri’s appointment as Associate Professor in Banking & Finance at the Southampton Business School, she held positions as Lecturer and Senior Lecturer at Portsmouth Business School, University of Portsmouth. She also served as Visiting Researcher and Research Assistant at the Centre for Data Analytics in Finance at King's Business School, King's College London, and is currently an Honorary Academic Fellow at the Centre for Responsible Banking & Finance at the University of St. Andrews. Dr. Papadimitri holds a BA (Hons) degree in Economics from the University of Crete, an MSc in Banking & Finance from Surrey Business School, University of Surrey, and a PhD in Economics & Finance from Portsmouth Business School. Her research interests revolve around corporate finance and governance in both financial and non-financial institutions, with a particular focus on interdisciplinary topics that aim to explain finance-related issues through the lens of societal attributes. Her published work addresses the impact of societal qualities, culture, social capital, and public environmental awareness on corporate decision-making, appearing in journals such as the Journal of Corporate Finance, British Journal of Management, Journal of Business Ethics, and the Journal of Financial Stability.
