Giovanna Tinetti is a Professor of Astrophysics and Vice Dean (Research) at King's College London. She is the Principal Investigator for the European Space Agency’s Ariel space telescope mission, which aims to conduct a comprehensive survey of exoplanets in a wide variety of environments, set to launch in 2029. She has authored or co-authored over 300 research publications and has delivered 350 talks, seminars, and public lectures internationally. Her work focuses on extrasolar planets and combines expertise in molecular spectroscopy, atmospheric science, and advanced data science techniques to analyze exoplanetary data.
