Biography

Giovanni Novembre is a Principal Research Engineer at Linköping University, focusing on understanding the role of touch in regulating emotional and physiological responses during social interactions. He primarily employs Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) to measure the neural correlates, along with advanced techniques to assess related changes throughout the body, such as cardiac activity, respiration, and hormone levels. Giovanni holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience from the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) in Italy, as well as a Master's in Neurobiology from the University of Rome 'La Sapienza' and a Bachelor's in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Bari 'Aldo Moro'.
