Dr. Git Lidman

Biography

Git Lidman is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Gothenburg, specializing in the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology, particularly within the Department of Clinical Neuroscience and Rehabilitation. His research focuses on the activities of children with congenital disabilities and their caregivers from a person-centered perspective. This aims to enhance the understanding of their life situations and evaluate treatment methodologies to improve engagement in activities. Git employs both quantitative and qualitative research methods. He has been teaching at both undergraduate and advanced levels in the Occupational Therapy Program since 2019. Prior to his academic career, he worked as a specialist occupational therapist in pediatrics at the Sahlgrenska University Hospital since 1990, with a specialization in children with cerebral palsy and a focus on activity-related aspects. His publications include studies on the long-term effects of repeated botulinum neurotoxin treatments and randomized controlled trials involving occupational therapy for children with unilateral spastic cerebral palsy.
