Biography

Dr. Giuliana Cerro Chiang received her medical degree from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas, followed by a fellowship in Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. During her fellowship, she was selected as Chief Fellow by her peers and spent an additional year focusing on research, sub-specializing in Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD). In pursuit of advancing her expertise, she obtained a Master's degree in Clinical Research (MSCR) from the University of California, Los Angeles, before joining Yale in 2023. Her primary research focus is on interstitial lung diseases, particularly those associated with connective tissue diseases and rheumatologic conditions.
