Biography

Giuliano Di Baldassarre is a professor of Hydrology and Environmental Analysis at Uppsala University, heading the LUVAL division of Air Water Landscape Sciences. His research focuses on risks, crises, and disasters stemming from the interactions between water, the environment, and society. Di Baldassarre also leads the global IAHS research initiative Panta Rhei, focusing on water-society interactions. He is the director of the Centre of Natural Hazards and Disaster Science (CNDS) and has published over 200 papers in peer-reviewed journals, contributing significantly to the field of hydrology and environmental science.
