Giuseppe Mazziotti is an academic legal counsel specializing in intellectual property, EU law, media regulation, and cultural policies. He served as an Assistant Professor of intellectual property law at the University of Copenhagen from 2009 to 2012, before becoming an Associate Research Fellow at the Centre for European Policy Studies in Brussels from 2012 to 2014. He also practiced law at Nunziante Magrone in Rome as an Associate from 2007 to 2009 and as Counsel from 2012 to 2014. Giuseppe is currently the Abreu Professor of Law Innovation at the Catolica Global School of Law in Portugal and has taught intellectual property law at Trinity College Dublin from October 2014 to December 2022, becoming an elected Fellow of the College in 2020 for his distinguished research and scholarship. He is presently the Principal Investigator and Coordinator of the Horizon Europe ‘Fair MusE’ project, aimed at promoting fairness in the music ecosystem in a platform-dominated post-pandemic Europe, running from 2023 to 2026.
