Glen S. Kwon is a Professor and the Jens T. Carstensen Distinguished Chair in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. His research group, Kwon Research Group, investigates polymeric nanotechnology to formulate, target, and enhance the properties of anticancer and antifibrotic drugs. The focus of their work is on developing polymeric nanoparticles and polymeric conjugates that can prolong circulation in the blood, enhance potency, and reduce toxicity of potent toxic anticancer drugs and biologics. Dr. Kwon aims to devise highly effective drug delivery strategies that can be safely translated to humans in clinical trials with the hope of saving lives. He is an internationally recognized researcher in polymeric nanotechnology related to chemotherapy and biologics, notably researching the spatial and temporal control of drugs using polymeric micelles and polymer-peptide conjugates. Additionally, Dr. Kwon is responsible for instructing PharmD, MS, and PhD graduate students in courses focused on drug delivery, pharmaceutics, and biologics. He also serves on scientific advisory boards, grant panels, and editorial boards of journals, providing his expertise in drug delivery and pharmaceutics.
