Dr. Glen Martin

Biography

Glen Martin is a Senior Lecturer in Health Data Science at the University of Manchester, whose research concentrates on developing and implementing clinical risk prediction models utilizing large-scale health data. He specializes in multivariate modeling, dealing with missing data, and enhancing the translation of models into clinical practice. Glen has made significant contributions to major research projects funded by the National Institute for Health Research, the Medical Research Council, and the Wellcome Trust, leading to the publication of over 130 peer-reviewed papers. He serves as the Program Director for the MSc Health Informatics program, which is a joint initiative with University College London. Glen's educational background includes a PhD in Medicine (Health Informatics) and an MSc in Statistics from Lancaster University. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Chartered Statistician with the Royal Statistical Society, demonstrating a commitment to the quality and integrity of academic and research standards in health data science.
