Biography

Glen Miller is an Instructional Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Philosophy at Texas A&M University. His research and teaching focus on understanding and navigating the complex intersections of social, technological, and ecological environments through the lens of ethics. He has significantly contributed to the field by co-editing volumes such as 'Thinking Science Technology: Philosophy, Religion, Politics' and 'Reimagining Philosophy Technology, Reinventing Ihde.' His current research examines engineering ethics, cyberethics, and AI ethics, with ongoing projects funded by the National Science Foundation. Miller collaborates with colleagues from Texas A&M and other institutions to enhance ethical considerations in engineering education and to investigate various AI ethics interventions in higher education settings. He teaches several courses, including Engineering Ethics and Ethics in the Digital Age, striving to better integrate ethical understanding into the curriculum. His innovative teaching efforts have been recognized by awards from Texas A&M's Association of Students and the College of Arts and Sciences.
