Biography

Glenn Barnes is a Clinical Associate Professor at Texas A&M College of Nursing. He holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center obtained in 2019, a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Texas at El Paso acquired in 2010, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Texas at Arlington completed in 1999. His professional certifications include Fellow of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine and Fellow of the Wilderness Extreme Medicine Association. Glenn is also a Certified National Healthcare Disaster Professional. His research interests focus on wilderness extreme nursing, space nursing, and nursing in extreme environments, alongside teaching foundations of nursing and pathophysiology. Glenn is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Wilderness Medicine Society and the American Nurses Association.
