Biography

Glenn Clark is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Manitoba, specializing in early modern English literature, particularly Tudor-Stuart drama. He earned his PhD in English Renaissance Literature from the University of Chicago in 2002, and also holds an MA in English Literature from the same institution and a BA from the University of British Columbia. His research interests include the drama of the Reformation, the role of clergy in early modern drama, and social-psychological approaches to understanding early modern theatre. He has taught at Roosevelt University in Chicago before joining the University of Manitoba. Clark is active in academic circles, serving as a member of the editorial board for the Map of Early Modern London Project and as Secretary for the Canadian Society for Renaissance Studies. He has supervised numerous theses at the master's level, with topics ranging from Shakespearean tragedy to the imagery in Renaissance art.
