Glenn M. Toney is a Professor and Department Head at Texas A&M University's College of Medicine in the Department of Medical Physiology. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Zoology at Weber State University in 1988 and earned his Ph.D. in Physiology from the University of Louisville in 1992. Dr. Toney is also engaged in research addressing the opioid epidemic, specifically the mechanisms of respiratory depression linked to opioid use in patients with sleep apnea.
