Biography

Gloria M. Kardong is an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University. She completed her undergraduate studies at Stanford and went on to the Stanford Psychiatry residency program, where she also served as Chief Resident. With over 35 years of experience in private practice, she specializes in trauma, abuse, PTSD, women's health issues related to pregnancy, post-partum concerns, PMS, and menopause. Over the past 15 years, she has provided telepsychiatry services across 10 states. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Kardong teaches and supervises residents and post-graduate fellows in the Stanford Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship Program. She also has a strong commitment to community involvement and international work, mentoring psychiatric trainees through the American Psychiatric Association. Her administrative roles have included Medical Director positions at various institutions and founding initiatives for psychiatry education.
