Dr. Gonzalo Salazar De Pablo

Biography

Gonzalo Salazar de Pablo is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, King's College London. He works as an honorary Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for the South London Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. Gonzalo has extensive clinical experience in various specialist child and adolescent psychiatric services across hospitals in London, Madrid, and New York. His medical training was completed at the University of Navarra, followed by specialty training in psychiatry at the Gregorio Marañón General University Hospital in Madrid, Spain. He has pursued global internships in Medicine and Clinical Research at institutions such as Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and Strong Memorial Hospital. Gonzalo holds a PhD with distinction and six MSc degrees across various topics within psychiatry. He has published over 100 academic papers and contributed to 40 certified mental health symposiums and conferences. He has received several accolades, including the Emerging Researcher prize from the Spanish Society of Biological Psychiatry and the Alicia Koplowitz award in 2023. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Spanish Society of Psychiatry and Mental Health and is recognized as a Highly Cited Researcher. His research interests focus on children and young people, emphasizing prevention, early intervention, and various psychiatric disorders.
