Dr. Goong Chen

Biography

Goong Chen is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Texas A&M University. He has extensive experience in applied mathematics and interdisciplinary research. His work primarily focuses on Control Theory and Partial Differential Equations. He serves as the Editor-in-Chief for several book manuscripts, particularly in applied mathematics and nonlinear science. His notable publication includes a book on Quantum Computing Devices, which was published by Chapman & Hall/CRC Press in September 2006. Chen's research interests also encompass Computational Mechanics, Chaotic Dynamics, and Numerical Solutions, highlighting his expertise in the mathematical modeling of complex systems. With a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin obtained in 1977 and a B.S. from National Tsing-Hua University in 1972, he brings a wealth of knowledge and academic rigor to the field of mathematics.
