Biography

Gopakumar Nair is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine at Western University. He received his MD in Anesthesia from Gujarat University, India, in 2007. Dr. Nair completed his residency at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio from 2009 to 2014 and was a fellow in Obstetric Ambulatory Anesthesia at the University of Toronto from 2007 to 2009. His research interests focus on post-operative pain management, particularly comparing Lumbar Plexus and Fascia Iliac blocks. He is also interested in anesthesia-related pharmacologic considerations for pediatric patients with mitochondrial disease and cytochrome P450 enzyme deficiencies. Dr. Nair has contributed to various journals including the British Journal of Anesthesia and the Canadian Journal of Anesthesia, and he has presented at numerous prestigious anesthesia meetings.
