Biography

Gopal Yadavalli, MD, earned a Bachelor of Science from Pennsylvania State University and an MD from Thomas Jefferson University. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases at University Hospitals Cleveland, where he served as Chief Resident. Currently, he is a Clinical Associate Professor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and serves as Vice Chair for Education in the Department of Medicine. He is also the Program Director for the Infectious Diseases Fellowship at Boston Medical Center. Dr. Yadavalli's clinical expertise encompasses general infectious diseases with a particular interest in HIV medicine, health equity, and global health. He has held several leadership roles, including Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program and At-Large Member of the Training Program Director Community Practice Leadership Work Group for the Infectious Diseases Society of America. His commitment to education and diversity in medicine has earned him numerous awards, including the Program Leadership Award from Boston Medical Center and induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Yadavalli is passionate about mentoring and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within medical education and practice.
