Dr. Gordon Stuber

Biography

Gordon L. Stuber is an internationally recognized leader in wireless physical communications and wireless systems. He received his B.A.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, in 1982 and 1986, respectively. Following his academic achievements, Stuber joined the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1986, where he has contributed to numerous refereed publications in his field. From 1993 to 1996, he worked at Nortel Networks in Richardson, TX and Ottawa, Canada, during the summers. In the summer of 2000, he served as a Visiting Professor at Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria. Stuber has been actively involved as an industry consultant and has held several prestigious roles in professional societies, including serving as a past editor of the IEEE Transactions on Communications and as a program chair for multiple significant IEEE conferences. He was elected as a Fellow of the IEEE in 1999 and received the Jack Neubauer Memorial Award from the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society. Additionally, he was recognized with the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society Outstanding Service Award in 2005.
