Biography

I am a pediatric surgeon in the Department of Surgery at the Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Santa Clara, having joined Kaiser in 2015. I completed my undergraduate degree at Mount Holyoke College, spent a year at Sorbonne in Paris, and attended medical school at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, graduating in 2004. My General Surgery training was completed at the University of California San Francisco, followed by additional training at Boston Children’s Hospital and a Master’s in Public Health from Dartmouth College. I underwent Pediatric Surgery Fellowship training at Children’s Hospital Michigan. My professional interests focus on neonatal surgery, advanced laparoscopy, surgical oncology, esophageal thoracic surgery, and fetal counseling. I am actively involved in surgical outcomes research, surgical interdisciplinary simulation, and medical education. I believe in a teamwork approach to patient care, integrating the patient, family, loved ones, nurses, staff, and physicians to facilitate healing.
