Biography

Graeme Martin is an Emeritus Professor and Senior Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia, specializing in agricultural science and livestock reproduction. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 1975 and completed his PhD in reproductive endocrinology in 1981. Martin has had an illustrious career, working internationally in France and the UK before returning to Perth to engage in academia and research. He became a full-time member of the University in 1996 and was promoted to Professor in 2001. His research interests include immune system physiology in sheep, the impact of plant secondary compounds on gastrointestinal worms, and ethical animal production. Martin's vision includes working towards a sustainable future farm system that aims to feed the planet while minimizing ecological damage.
