Dr. Graeme Reynolds

Biography

Graeme Reynolds is an Assistant Professor in the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at the USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences. He earned his Ph.D. from Harvard University in 2021, following an M.A. from the Academy of Korean Studies in 2013 and a B.A. from the University of British Columbia in 2008. His research focuses on premodern Korean history, particularly in areas such as printing technology and historiography. Reynolds has contributed to various scholarly works, including a book review on William Franklin Sands' 'Late Chosŏn Korea: Deathbed Empire, 1896–1904', and multiple journal articles exploring themes in Korean studies. He is also involved in organizing conferences related to East Asian typography, aiming to foster dialogue and research in the field.
