Dr. Graeme Whyte

Biography

Graeme P. Whyte is a highly trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, joint preservation, and cartilage repair. He is the chief surgical consultant for the National Hockey League Alumni Association and has an extensive background in both education and athletics. Dr. Whyte has competed in varsity rugby and soccer, setting Canadian national records and winning numerous championships. His unique experiences in elite athletics have provided him with invaluable perspectives on managing sports injuries. He has served as the assistant team physician for the New York Rangers in the National Hockey League and has been involved in National Collegiate Athletic Association athletics. Dr. Whyte has developed and published a novel technique for repairing large rotator cuff tears. His expertise extends to shoulder surgery, including arthroscopic treatments for instability, cartilage injuries, and labral tears. His clinical interests also encompass the operative treatment of hip conditions such as femoroacetabular impingement and hip labral tears, utilizing minimally invasive hip arthroscopy.
