Biography

Graeme Young is a Lecturer in Social Public Policy within the School of Social & Political Sciences at the University of Glasgow. He serves as the Convenor for the undergraduate Social Public Policy program. Graeme obtained his PhD in Politics and International Studies from the University of Cambridge in 2018. His research predominantly revolves around political economy development, international peace operations, and the relationship between states and markets. He has a keen interest in informal economic activity and policy work aimed at building inclusive economies to promote sustainable peace. Before joining the University of Glasgow, Graeme held positions such as Postdoctoral Fellow at the Balsillie School of International Affairs and Visiting Researcher at the University of Cape Town. He has been involved with the Center for Human Rights and Global Justice at New York University School of Law. His research interests include political economy, informal economic activity, inclusive economies, and international peace operations.
