This project allowed him to return to his interest in GPCRs and he progressed through the ranks at Warwick to become Associate Professor. In 2015, he joined the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Cambridge and became a Fellow of St John’s College. In 2020, he was promoted to Readership in Receptor Pharmacology and elected Fellow of the British Pharmacological Society. His research group utilizes a combination of pharmacological investigations and mathematical modelling to study the factors that control agonist bias in GPCRs. Their work has led to significant collaborations with the pharmaceutical industry, enhancing their research capabilities and resulting in recognition such as the Royal Society Industry Fellowship to collaborate with AstraZeneca.
