Biography

Graham C. Smith is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Michigan. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan, earning a degree in History and Classical Studies. His experience as an EMT Paramedic and teaching roles with the American Red Cross developed his commitment to Emergency Medicine and pre-hospital care. He attended medical school at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and subsequently returned to the University of Michigan for his residency. Dr. Smith completed a fellowship in Emergency Medical Services at the University of New Mexico. In August 2018, he joined the faculty of the University of Michigan's Department of Emergency Medicine, focusing on interests in Emergency Medical Services. He serves as Medical Director for the Washtenaw/Livingston Medical Control Authority and is double board certified in Emergency Medicine and Emergency Medical Services. Dr. Smith collaborates with colleagues in Emergency Medicine and EMS. He is involved with Michigan Medicine's specialized workforce in acute transport.
