Dr. Grant Liu

Biography

Dr. Grant T. Liu is a Professor of Neurology at the University of Pennsylvania, where he leads the Division of Neuro-Ophthalmology. He completed his medical education at Columbia University, followed by residency training at NewYork–Presbyterian Hospital and Mass General Brigham Healthcare Center - Chestnut Hill. Dr. Liu has a distinguished career focused on treating a range of neurological disorders, including idiopathic intracranial hypertension, ischemic optic neuropathy, and unexplained vision loss. He is recognized in the medical community, having been featured in Philadelphia Magazine's Top Docs from 2015 to 2025. His expertise is reinforced by active memberships in organizations such as the American Academy of Neurology and the North American Neuro-ophthalmology Society. Dr. Liu is committed to providing high-quality patient care and is currently accepting new patients at the Penn Neuroscience Center.
