Biography

Grant Ritchie is a Professor of Chemistry and Head of the Physical & Theoretical Chemistry (PTC) section at the University of Oxford from 2020 to 2025. He served as the Director of Graduate Studies for five years from 2015 to 2020. His research focuses on developing innovative techniques for trace gas detection, which have applications in fundamental studies of gas-phase chemical dynamics, plasma medicine, and breath analysis. Ritchie obtained his BA and DPhil from Trinity College, Oxford, and has authored textbooks in atmospheric chemistry.
