Dr. Grant Shalaby

Biography

Grant Shalaby has 12 years of experience as a consultant cardiologist and has been actively involved in teaching at various hospitals. His specific interests include cardiac device therapy, particularly cardiac resynchronization and its management in heart failure, as well as cardiac imaging. Prior to his specialization in cardiology, Dr. Shalaby worked in intensive care medicine, allowing him to gain valuable experience in managing patients in high-stress environments. He is currently the Network Director for Physician Training at Nepean Hospital, where he is responsible for the establishment and implementation of internal medicine and cardiology specialist training programs for medical graduates across several hospitals. Dr. Shalaby has also supervised medical students from multiple medical schools, including Sydney University and the University of Notre Dame, and serves as the Critical Care convenor for Macquarie MD Year 2 students.
