Biography

Grazyna Wiejak-Roy is a Senior Lecturer in Urban Economics and Real Estate at the University of the West of England. She is a member of the Centre for Advanced Built Environment Research and has over 20 years of senior leadership experience in real estate consultancy with companies such as EY, PwC, and KPMG across the UK, Europe, and Australia. Grazyna leads the MSc Real Estate Finance and Investment and MSc Real Estate Management programs, both offered via distance learning. Her academic credentials include a PhD in Real Estate Economics focused on the efficiency mechanisms in the UK retail market, an MA in Economics, and an MSc in Property Appraisal Management. A Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, she is also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has held various positions including Board Member for the RICS in Poland and Australia. Her research interests include investment strategies, transaction risk, and the changing nature of the retail real estate market, working on projects associated with Quantum Inspired Valuation and Circular Real Estate. Additionally, she is co-founder of the Land International Network for Knowledge and serves as Vice-President for Europe at the Commonwealth Association of Surveying and Land Economy.
