Biography

Greg Landsberg is the Thomas J. Watson, Sr. Professor of Physics at Brown University. Since joining the faculty in 1998, he has actively engaged in experimental particle physics, significantly contributing to research at the energy frontier. Landsberg's post-doctoral research took place at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. His involvement in major collaborations includes serving as a convener for the D0 Exotics group and later for the CMS Exotica physics analysis group during critical phases of the CERN Large Hadron Collider project. He played a pivotal role as the CMS Physics Coordinator, especially during the Higgs boson discovery. His research focuses on new physics phenomena, particularly exploring flavor anomalies that challenge the Standard Model. Landsberg is also a divisional associate editor for Physics Review Letters and has authored numerous influential publications on collider phenomenology. His extensive work, including pioneering efforts on mini black hole production, demonstrates a deep commitment to understanding the fundamental aspects of particle physics and the universe's building blocks.
