Dr. Greg Salomons

Biography

Dr. Greg Salomons is an Assistant Professor with a cross-appointment in the Department of Physics at Queen's University. He specializes in medical physics, with a particular focus on radiation oncology. His clinical role includes serving as a Medical Physicist, where he is actively involved in treatment planning systems, IMRT quality assurance, and ensuring the quality of treatment plans within clinical settings. In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Salomons is dedicated to education, training both medical physics residents and undergraduate physics students. He is committed to enhancing public awareness of radiation safety risks and provides insights into the complexities of medical physics education. His research interests include safety issues related to clinical software, the application of statistical control charts to medical physics quality assurance, and innovating dosimetry techniques for dynamic radiation therapy.
