Biography

Gregory Butler is a Professor Emeritus at the School of Music, University of British Columbia, having joined the faculty in 1973. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto and an M.A. from McGill University, specializing in musicology. Butler has served as a Visiting Scholar at Columbia University, where he focused on the study of Christoph Wolff.
