Dr. Gregory Grant

Biography

Gregory R. Grant is a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Genetics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. His research expertise lies in high-throughput sequencing analysis, particularly RNA-sequencing. He is well-versed in a wide range of statistical methods for biological study design, including non-parametric methods. His work also includes expertise in programming, transcriptomics, functional genomics, cancer genomics, and microarray analysis. In addition to his primary research focus, he has contributed significantly to bioinformatics, particularly in areas such as RNA and DNA high-throughput sequencing and statistical analysis of data. He has a strong background in managing complex datasets, which supports advanced research in genomics and associated disciplines. Gregory holds multiple degrees, including a BA in Mathematics and a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Maryland, College Park, as well as an MA in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania. His extensive training includes postdoctoral research in computational biology and bioinformatics. Throughout his career, he has published numerous influential papers in reputed journals, addressing various aspects of genomics and bioinformatics.
