Biography

Gregory Perry is a Lecturer in Organic Chemistry at the University of Southampton. His academic journey began at the University of Liverpool, where he completed his MChem in Chemistry under the supervision of Professor P. Andrew Evans in 2012. He then pursued a PhD in Organic Chemistry at the University of Manchester, working with Professor Igor Larrosa, which he completed in 2016. His postdoctoral research took place at Nagoya University in Japan, collaborating with Professor Kenichiro Itami from 2017 to 2018, before returning to the University of Manchester as a fixed-term Lecturer in Organic Chemistry, working with Professor David J. Procter from 2018 to 2020. Gregory further advanced his research as a JSPS Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Kyoto University, under Professor Hideki Yorimitsu from 2021 to 2023. As an independent researcher at Southampton, he continues to explore various themes in Organic Chemistry, including synthesis and catalysis, as a member of multiple research projects and groups.
