Gregory Poggi has over 20 years of experience successfully leading resident professional theatres in the United States and Canada. He is the founder of the Indiana Repertory Theatre in Indianapolis, which is currently in its 47th season. Poggi has served as the managing director of the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre in Winnipeg, one of Canada's premier theatre companies, and was the founding chairman of the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres (PACT) in Toronto. His career also includes a role as the artistic producing director at the Philadelphia Drama Guild at the Annenberg Center of the University of Pennsylvania. Poggi’s production history spans 120 works, featuring classic playwrights such as Shakespeare, Ibsen, Miller, Hansberry, and Beckett, alongside new works and American premieres. Over the years, he has collaborated with Tony Award winners and notable actors. He experienced a significant role in the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University where he chaired the Division of Arts Administration for 15 years, overseeing programs that awarded MA and MBA degrees. At the University of Michigan, Poggi chaired the Department of Theatre & Drama for five years and founded the minor in Performing Arts Management. He also initiated a summer program called MPulse for high school theatre students.
