Biography

Gregory Ray is the Don Margi Berens Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management, part of the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business. He has spearheaded initiatives such as the Life Sciences Technology Innovation Fellows Program, originally established as the BioEntrepreneurship Initiative, as well as the Green Technology Innovation Fellows Program. He is the co-program director of the Johnson Summer Startup Accelerator and serves as an instructor in the eLab Student Accelerator program. Ray is also involved with the National Science Foundation I-Corps program and is an active angel investor with a focus on nutrition and healthcare delivery. Having returned to Cornell in late 2020, Ray previously held roles at the Creative Destruction Lab (CDL), where he supported programming for several business schools including the University of Toronto-Rotman, NYU-Stern, and Georgia Tech-Scheller. His mission is to cultivate a culture of entrepreneurship and creativity among scientists, engineers, alumni, and students, empowering them to translate ideas into viable ventures. He is exceptionally dedicated to developing human capital to drive the next generation of technology and science-based companies.
