Biography

Gregory Soares, MD, is an Associate Professor of Radiology at Brown Medical School and the director of vascular interventional radiology at Rhode Island Hospital. He oversees a busy outpatient office focused on the long-term management of patients with vascular disease. Soares graduated magna cum laude from Boston University with a modular medical integrated curriculum early admission program in 1992. Subsequently, he served as the chief of interventional radiology at Wilford Hall Medical Center, the United States Air Force flagship tertiary referral center in San Antonio, Texas, from 1999 to 2002. His research interests include the advancement of clinical interventional radiology and catheter-based interventions for carotid, renal, and lower extremity circulations, as well as the interventional management of venous disease.
