Gregory Wornell is the Sumitomo Electric Industries Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He received his BASc degree with honors from the University of British Columbia, Canada, and both SM and PhD degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in electrical engineering and computer science. He joined the MIT faculty in 1991, where he leads the Signals, Information, Algorithms Laboratory within the Research Laboratory of Electronics.
