Biography

Greta Panova is a Gabilan Distinguished Professor of Mathematics at USC Dornsife. She obtained her Ph.D. from Harvard University in May 2011, after completing her M.A. at the University of California, Berkeley in May 2006, and her B.Sc. at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in June 2005. Her postdoctoral experience includes a position as a Simons Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Los Angeles from August 2011 to July 2014. Panova has held several academic positions including Associate Professor at the University of Pennsylvania starting in Spring 2018 and Assistant Professor at the same university from 2014 to 2018. Additionally, she has engaged in visiting appointments at prestigious institutions such as the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute and the Simons Institute for the Theory of Computing. Notably, she was a von Neumann Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study during the 2017-2018 academic year and a CNRS Visiting Professor at the Institute Henri Poincare in Spring 2017. She continues to contribute to her field through various research initiatives and collaborations.
