Biography

Guadalupe Gonzalez Dieguez is an associate professor at the Institute of Religious Studies at the Université de Montréal, trained in Jewish Studies and Hebrew Philology from New York University and Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She takes an interdisciplinary approach to study the interaction of Islamic, Jewish, and Christian religious cultures in medieval Spain, the intersection of philosophy, science, and Jewish mysticism, and the overlaps between philosophy, mysticism, and literature in the intellectual output of Jews during the Middle Ages. Her research also delves into Sephardic Judaism beyond medieval Spain and examines the thought of Spinoza in relation to Judaism.
