Biography

Guanhua Chen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biostatistics and Medical Informatics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2014. Prior to joining UW-Madison, he served as an Assistant Professor of Biostatistics at Vanderbilt University. His research focuses on developing statistical learning methods for clinical biomedical research, with a particular emphasis on discovering complex patterns in heterogeneous, high-dimensional omics data, such as genome and microbiome data. He also works with electronic health record data to advance precision medicine.
