Biography

Guendalina Anzolin is a postdoctoral Research Associate at King's College London, involved in a Leverhulme Trust funded project focusing on Political Economy Growth Models and Age Stagnation. She has previously worked as a postgraduate teaching assistant at the Institute of Innovation and Public Purpose at UCL. Guendalina has undertaken research at SOAS and the South African Research Chair in Industrial Development in Johannesburg. Her research interests center on industrial economics and technological change, particularly from a political economy perspective. Major themes include analysis of technological change, automation, and structural change across countries. Before joining King's, she engaged in consultancy activities with the Joint Research Center of the European Commission, UNIDO, and the Inter-American Development Bank. Guendalina has co-authored various publications discussing the employment effects of automation, green industrial policy, local content policies in the mining sector, and the transformation of the automotive industry driven by robot adoption.
