Guido Bologna received his Ph.D. for his development of a neural network model that is interpreted using symbolic rules in 1998 from the University of Geneva. After his doctoral studies, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at several prestigious institutions, including the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia, and the National University of Singapore, as well as the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics. In 2004, he joined the University of Applied Science in Geneva, where he held a senior researcher position. In 2020, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor at the University of Applied Science, and prior to that, he served as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Geneva. Dr. Bologna has authored and co-authored approximately 100 papers in refereed journals, books, and conferences, and he contributes as a regular reviewer for international journals. His current research interests focus primarily on machine learning, alongside expertise in artificial neural networks, computer vision, and bioinformatics.
