Dr. Guila Delouya

Biography

Dr. Guila Delouya is a Radiation Oncologist practicing at the Centre Hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (CHUM) since 2011. She also serves as a Clinical Professor in the Department of Radiology, Radiation Oncology, and Nuclear Medicine at Université de Montréal. After completing her law studies and becoming a member of the Montréal Bar Association in 1997, Dr. Delouya pursued medical studies and completed her residency in Radiation Oncology at Université de Montréal. She obtained a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2015, focusing her thesis on prostate cancer. Dr. Delouya's clinical practice and research are primarily centered on prostate cancer, with a particular interest in low and high-dose-rate brachytherapy. She is an active member of the CHUM Research Center, where her laboratory work focuses on DNA damage and repair mechanisms. Over the past few years, she has published around 40 scientific articles related to her research. Additionally, she contributes to the administration of the radiation therapy service as the chief of radiation therapy, an assistant at the Integrated Cancer Center of CHUM, and serves as a scientific member on the research ethics committee. Dr. Delouya is committed to the education and training of medical students and residents, directing a national preparatory course in Radiation Oncology.
