Biography

Guilel Treiber is an Assistant Professor at Radboud University specializing in philosophical ethics and political philosophy. He received his Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Institute of Philosophy at KU Leuven, Belgium, in 2019. His dissertation focused on critical phenomenology and radical forms of political resistance, examining the concept of the 'abnormal.' Treiber's research has been profoundly influenced by the works of Georges Bataille and Michel Foucault, as well as Queer Theory. He has also conducted research at notable institutions including University College Dublin and the Bibliothèque Nationale de France. His postdoctoral work was also at KU Leuven, where he developed a new research project concerning digital crowd phenomena, algorithmic rationality, and the emergence of new collective agencies in mass societies. Treiber has served on the editorial board of Krisis, Journal of Contemporary Philosophy since January 2021. His area of interests includes Critical Data Studies, Political Resistance, and Digitalization.
